Coachskills.com was founded in 2001 by Careersoft and Coaching solutions, who pooled their expertise in on-line learning and coaching skills training to create an innovative on-line programme for managers and trainers.

Careersoft was founded by Bob Gledhill in the early 1980s, and is now widely acknowledged as the UK’s leading producer of quality careers guidance materials. Careersoft first earned accreditation as an Investor in People in 1998, has attracted favourable mention at the highest levels of Government, and recently won the regional heat of Parcelforce Worldwide's Small Business Awards. The dynamic, technical and creative people at Careersoft use the latest technology and media to develop high quality, innovative careers products and services, often working in partnership with other organisations.

Coaching Solutions was founded by Roy Johnson and John Eaton in 1996 and is one of the UK's leading coaching firms. Roy and John's book Coaching Successfully (Dorling Kindersley) is now recognised as an industry standard. Coaching Solutions offer one-to-one coaching, coaching skills training and coaching consultancy to organisations across the UK. Clients include Vodafone, Cadbury Schweppes, BT Affinitis and Servier Laboratories.
